All Good Men Come With Big Packages

3 in 5 Men Underestimate The Importance Of Size

Does size matter? A basic Google search will give you over 70,000,000 possible sources to solve the debate, but a recent survey by Smooch.com shows that 64% of men underestimate the importance of size.

Over 4,000 members of the free online dating website Smooch.com were asked whether size really mattered. The data highlighted that 25% more women than men believed that size does matter.

Some may suggest that size does not matter within a loving, long-term relationship, but they’d be wrong. Surprisingly, women who were looking for romance and marriage online were the most size conscious. Whilst 50% of those looking for marriage and 47% of those looking or romance said that size did matter, those looking for ‘fun’ were the least concerned (40%) by the size.

Intriguingly, the results also appear to validate the theory that men who drive around in big flashy cars are over-compensating for something else. Men with a high-range salary were the most likely (45%) to believe that size does matter.

Lust & Marriage

Lust & Marriage – 52% Of Men Would Say

‘I Do, Ooh, Ooh, Ooh’ To A Porn Star

Results from a series of studies conducted by free dating website Smooch.com reveal that men are 7 times more likely than women to date and marry a porn star.

Members of the website were asked the question, ‘Would you date a porn star?’. More than half the men surveyed said they would date a porn star compared to only 7% of women. Unsurprisingly, those who said they were using dating sites for “fun” were the most likely (58%) to date a porn star.

Having establshed the nation’s willingness to date a porn star, Smooch asked members whether they would be willing to marry one. Whilst the percentage of those willing to marry a porn star declined, surprisingly nearly 30% of men said they would marry a porn star. Nevertheless, the ratio between men and women remained the same; as with dating a porn star, seven times more men (28%) said they would marry a porn star than women (4%).

Arguably, although more members would choose to date a porn star, than to marry one, the results suggest that not all of the members who would date a porn star were motivated by sexual desire. Thus it would appear that in a reversal of the historically traditional position, men are more accepting of a ‘sexually experienced’ partner than women.

Additional information:
Smooch surveys are extremely detailed, incorporating information about its respondents as detailed as facial hair and weight, allowing us to unearth the following strange facts.

  • Moustaches were arguably a requirement for men in the adult industry during the 70s. Nowadays, men with beards are more than twice as likely to date a porn star than men with moustaches.

  • Think “lad’s mag” centrefold and you instantly think blonde; however only 23% of blondes would date a porn star compared to 40% of those with black hair.

  • People who described themselves as average looking were less likely to marry a porn star (19%) compared to 38% of users who described themselves as ‘stunning’.

  • Low wage earners are far less likely (25%) to fantasize about the plumber than those with a high range salary (64%).

Members aged 31-35 were the most likely to date a porn star (42%), and those aged 36-40 were the most likely to marry a porn star (24%). Either side of these age groups agreement gradually declines, though it is unlikely for the same reasons.

Research:
Smooch.com polled 2,909 members over a 12 hour period for the first survey, and 1,085 members in the follow up study.
