Sex O’Clock – 28% Of Men Think About Sex 288 Times A Day

New Research From Dating site Smooch.com Shows That Men Are 3 Times More Likely Than Women To Think About Sex Every 5 Minutes.

In one of the largest studies to date, more than 21,000 members of the free dating website Smooch.com were asked how often they thought about sex. Whilst 28% of men allowed their minds to wander every 5 minutes, only 8% of women had such active imaginations.

An additional 28% of men admitted to sexual thoughts every hour compared to just 13% of women; this means not only are men 3 times more likely than women to think about sex every 5 minutes, but twice as likely to think about it every hour.

However, whilst 92% of men think about sex on a daily basis, a third of the women surveyed thought about sex far less often. 1 in 4 women think about sex once a week whilst only 3 in 50 men have such idle minds. Furthermore, 1 in 10 women succumb to temptation just once a month compared to 1 in 50 men.

In addition, according to the statistics, as people age, thoughts of a sexual nature decrease. People aged 25-30 have the most active minds with 25% of members in that age group admitting to sexual thoughts every 5 minutes, whilst 43% of those aged 61+ thought about sex every few hours.

Smooch surveys are extremely detailed, incorporating information about the respondents as detailed as height, weight and education, allowing us to uncover the following unusual facts:

  • Sex and marriage do not go hand in hand, only 14% of those in search of marriage thought about sex every hour.
  • People with the star sign Aries were the most likely (26%) to think about sex every 5 minutes whilst Gemini was the most prudish star sign.
  • Kingston is the horniest city in the UK with 45% of the inhabitants thinking about sex every 5 minutes. In contrast, the population of Redbridge rarely indulge their saucy side and are the most likely (17%) to think about sex just once a month.
  • Everyone knows smoking is bad for your health, but it clearly works wonders for the libido. Heavy smokers were more likely (24%) than non-smokers to think about sex every 5 minutes.
  • Who says money can’t buy happiness? For 31% of high wage earners happiness is just 5 minutes away, whilst those with a low range salary were the least likely to think about sex every 5 minutes.

It’s Official: Men Are B**tards! Over 40% Of Men Admit They Have Been Unfaithful

Still searching for your Mr. Darcy or Prince Charming? Sadly, a recent dating site survey reveals that in reality men are a third more likely to be unfaithful than women.

Over 7,000 members of the free dating website Smooch.com were asked if they had ever been unfaithful to a partner. On average, 35% of respondents said that they had been unfaithful at one point or another. However, only 29% of women have been unfaithful compared to 41% of men, which is more than a third as many men as women.

Some say that with age comes maturity and experience, however in men this translates into sexual maturity and experience rather than emotional and cognitive development. Whilst the amorous male is often pictured as young and virile, the statistics indicate that as men age, the probability of them being unfaithful gradually increases. Those aged 18-24 were 4% below the average at 31%, making this age group the least likely to have cheated on a partner. In contrast, those aged over 60 were nearly 10% above the average with 44% admitting to being unfaithful.

It would be unfair to suggest the overworked cliché that men think with their trousers rather than their brain, especially in light of the fact that highly educated men are more likely to cheat. According to the survey, more than half (54%) of those with a Masters degree have been unfaithful compared to 30% of those with no formal qualifications.

Smooch surveys are extremely detailed, incorporating information about its respondents as detailed as height, weight and education, allowing us to compile the ultimate Girl Guide to Mr. Right:

  • Tall, dark and handsome? Think again, men over 6’ are the most likely to be unfaithful (43%)
  • Swap your Prince for a Pauper as men with very high salaries are the most likely to be unfaithful (65%)
  • If you like your man with washboard abs and arms the size of your thighs then you’re begging for heartache as muscular men are the most likely to be unfaithful (47%)
  • Sadly, attractive men are also off limits. Men who considered themselves as quite attractive were the most likely to be unfaithful (41%)
  • You should also probably stop looking for guys who are good with children; men with four or more little nippers are most likely to cheat (46%)
  • Imagine the scene; your eyes meet over the bar…now back away slowly – regular drinkers are the most likely to be unfaithful (49%)
  • Never trust a bearded man (including Santa) as 85% of men with full beards admit to being unfaithful.

The only silver lining to this bombshell is the paradox that men are honest about being liars.

Fight For This Love?

by Julia 26th February 201005:21

Celebrity Mr and Mistress – Only 1 in 4 Singles Would ‘Fight For This Love’ Like Cheryl Cole

Research conducted by free online dating website Smooch.com reveals public opinion on Celebrity Cheats; just 26% of single men and women would stand by an unfaithful partner.

The celebrity laundrette has seen a remarkable influx of dirty laundry since the start of the New Year. Stars such as Tiger Woods, Vernon Kay, John Terry and Ashley Cole have all played their role in the world of Celebrity Mr and Mistress; so Smooch set out to investigate how the public would react to a cheating partner.

Over 7,500 members were polled in 12 hours by free online dating website Smooch.com. Single men and women were asked ‘What would you do if your partner cheated?’ Whilst 26% agreed with Cheryl Cole that if it’s worth having, it’s worth fighting for, a staggering 62% would fight with a golf club like Elin Nordegren rather than fight for love.

Intriguingly, 1 in 3 men would fight for love compared to only 1 in 5 women. The results also confirm that Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned as 67% of women would reach for the nearest golf club compared to 57% of men. Whilst just 13% of women and 10% of men would cry if they discovered that their partner cheated.

The statistics also indicate that age is likely to influence a person’s reaction to an unfaithful partner. Those aged 61 and above were the most likely (36%) age group to fight to save a relationship if they discovered their partner had cheated; compared to only 24% of those aged 18-24.

14% of singles aged 18-24 would cry if their partner cheated on them, however as age increased, the tears steadily decreased to 10% of those aged 61 and above. Furthermore, violent revenge was the most popular response for those aged 31-35.

In a separate study, Smooch asked 2,000 singles about trusting a person who has previously cheated. 64% of women compared to 45% of men believed that once a cheat, always a cheat. The results also confirmed the trend that men are more forgiving than women with 1 in 3 men believing people make mistakes compared to less than 1 in 4 women.

Nevertheless, it appears men are 7 times more likely than women to follow in the footsteps of unfaithful celebrities as they believe it is only cheating if you get caught.
