Our broad range of advertising products ensures that advertisers can communicate their message to our members in a variety of ways, and our segmentation options reduce costs of acquisitions and increase conversion rates.

Our advertising options include banners,
MPUs, large towers, road blocks, pop-unders, direct co-registration, one-click cross registration, and page and site tenancies. If you don't already have advertising creatives we can even build those for you.

Banners, Towers and MPUs

We support all standard advert sizes, including MPU (300x250) Towers (up to 160x600) and Jumbo Banners (728x92), and can support non-standard sizes. All standard advert formats are also supported, including Flash, HTML, GIF, JPG, PNG.

For a small segmentation surcharge all adverts can be capped and targeted by gender, dating interest (fun, serious relationship, etc.), sexual preferences and age. Targeting your market more accurately can lead to big savings in marketing expenditure.

Road Blocks (all available advert slots on each page filled with only your advert) are supported and recommended as the best way to take over the page with your brand, achieve maximum exposure/prominence and maximise click-through.

Popunders

Take our members straight to your site.

Pop-unders are available at Smooch.com. These are full web sites, or micro-sites that open beneath the current browser window and are exposed when the user closes the browser, actually leading the member to your site or marketing micro-site.

Popunders are capped at 1 pop-under per user per day. This low exposure rate ensures minimum member frustration and maximum impact for your advert which will be the only pop-under that user sees in that 24 hours period.

Advertisers have found this to be the best conversion tool by far of any advertising option besides co-registrations and cross registrations (see below). They are highly recommended but not always available due to the low-capping, so you may have to book some time in advance.

Cross Registration

Cross registration allows our members to become your members with a single click of their mouse.

We won’t just show an advert, we’ll invite members to sign up with you. One mouse click will send their existing smooch profile (or as much of it as you
want), including a photo directly to your site (via a HTML post, or an
XML feed, among other options) making them real members of
your site. Each click results in a new member for your site.

1. Existing Smooch Members
Smooch.com will show an advert or send an email to existing members telling them about your great site, perhaps presenting a special offer of some kind (that’s up to you). They are invited to join your site in a single click. They click, you get their data and automatically sign them up!

2. New Members (Co-Registration)
Smooch.com will invite people to join your site as part of the sign up process by adding a check box to the join process. Those who check the box have their data (including photo where available) POSTed or fed to your site. Typically 35% of Smooch new members opt-in to a co-registration during the Smooch join process.
